The Chinese Academy of Sciences released it's copywrited intellectual property rights of operating system COS (China Operating System) on 15th JAN 2014. The OS can be applied to personal computer, smart handheld terminal, set-top boxes and other fields.

Currently there are about 100, 000 applications support COS. From the underlying COS code to the user interface construction is entirely independent evolution, this software is intended to break the Microsoft, apple and Google monopoly in OS.
