After the competition of hardware, Chinese smartphone manufactures reliazed the importance of software - smartphone ROM. Now more and more Chinese smartphone manufacures bring their own Android-based OS/ROMs for smart phones.
Flyme ROM
Flyme ROM is developed by MEIZU for it's own MX (dream) model. Its UI design is simple and eye-candy. Unlike other Chinese ROMs' unlimited-integration, Flyme only provide simple and good enough functions.
Samsung smartphones was able to use Flyme ROM in July 2014.
MIUI ROM
The most advanced ROM is MIUI in China. It updates every week according to the feed back of MI phone users.
MIUI6 embraced the FLAT design, and integraded yellowbook function inside. MIUI6 beats its competitors in details, but the most important point is it can be installed on a lot of smartphones, even other smartphone brands.
Flyme's new update is based on Android OS 5.
EMUI ROM
EMUI ROM is developed by Huawei and run on Huawei's P series and Honor series. As the top communications equipment company, Huawei's industrial design is powerful. EMUI 3 fixed the weak point of it's interface design.
EMUI will be more and more popular, as Huawei smartphones sell well.
Smartisan OS
Smartisan OS is a product of Smartisan Technology which is a Chinese smartphone manufacture. Smartisan insists Skeuomorph Design, far away from main stream design, this unique feature harvests a lof of funs.
Nubia UI
Nubia smartphone is the sub brand of ZTE. After the debut of Z9 Max and Z9 mini, Nubia became hot in Chinese smartphone market.
The Nubia UI is also upgrated to V 2.81 which based on Android OS 5.02. The main feature of Nubia smartphone is photograph. So Nubia UI is put more value on camera funtion, such as you can open the camera interface by sliding the main screen.
Color OS
Color OS is designed by OPPO for its smartphone.
Funtouch OS
Funtouch OS 2.0 is developed by VIVO. As VIVO take music as its own feature, so the whole system is designed for playing Music, such as music player mixed screen locker.
