The silver prototype of next generation China bullet train parked in CSR Qingdao Sifang Locomotive Co., Ltd's plant.

The silver train was presented under the name CRH380AL in December 2011. A long pointed nose, which inspired by sword, is its main charactor. On a test site in Qingdao, eastern China, the vehicle recently reached a top speed of 604 km / h and operation at this speed for 10 minutes. According to the manufacturer - CSR, the testing platform is designed for 600km per hour, that limited the test result. The speed of the next generation China bullet train still can go higher.

The CRH380AL consists of six parts and has a capacity of 22,800 kilowatts.

The predecessor of the silver prototype, the CRH380A, reached a speed of 486.1 km / h in December 2010, setting a new record for standard rail trains. Today, even " Harmony Express" called high-speed train with 250 to 300 km / h on the way to the Beijing- Shanghai.

The record for regular railways holds a modified French TGV , which during a test drive 574.8 km / h reached in 2007. A Japanese maglev came in 2003 already to 581 km / h.
