With the ever increasing provocations and interference into the Asian affairs by the American HEGEMONY regime, it is natural and the only option for China to show its displeasure against US rude interference through calculated military display.

The Chinese must be ready for all eventualities given the unreasonable and aggressive belligerent characteristic of the American leaders and the politicians.

While China must continue its neutral policy towards ASEAN and assist ASEAN in whatever ways she can to boost ASEAN's economic growth and development; China must also make clear to ASEAN that she cannot TOLERATE American's interference into South China Sea affairs between China and ASEAN. For the region's safety and security, it is best let alone China and the contending parties to settle the claims amicably BUT NOT through the 'invitation of a foreign power' geographically few thousands km away to lay a hand in this dispute between China and ASEAN.

ASEAN needs a neutral approach and not relying on a foreign Western power to INTIMIDATE China! ASEAN should realise that China, until today, has not done anything bad to ASEAN but only helps during the 1997 financial crisis and the current one.
