The most unbelievable thing is Chinese netizens found a link (just under the lottery result) leaded to a report which said an unmarried 20-year man won the lottery. This man is Guangzhou immigrant from another province, he kept buying the same number for 6 months but dare not to tell his girlfriend and family members. This Weibo got 1100 comments in 50 minutes at deep night (Beijing Time). Most comments pointed the China lottery crew won the lottery. As there is no way for China lottery to find this man at night and write report then post online at the same time as the lottery result.
China lottery started to sell Shuangseqiu from Feb 16th 2003, its results are released at 21:30 of Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday of each week. But the result of 50 million reward was not released by China Education TV Channel I. None of China lottery and China Education TV Channel notified what had happened in advance.
The government lacks "strict supervision systems for lottery oversight, and such enormous amounts of public funds are highly vulnerable to corrupt practices," Shi Zhengwen, a tax expert at the China University of Political Science and Law, told Caixin Media last month.
