SHANGHAI, June 20 -- PHOTO & IMAGING SHANGHAI CHINA 2010(The 12th China Shanghai Interphoto & Digital Imaging Exhibition), one of the largest and most influential photo and imaging exhibitions in China and the Asia Pacific region, will be held at the Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Centre from July 1st to 4th, 2010. The exhibition will be co-hosted by CCPIT, the Shanghai Sub-council, CCOIC, the Chamber of International Commerce Shanghai, the China Information Industry Trade Association Digital Image Committee, the Shanghai Photographers' Association and Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd, and organized by Shanghai International Exhibition Service Corp. With the theme of "Showcasing the Best in Imaging in Conjunction with the World Expo", a total exhibition floor space of 15,000sqm will be provided, attracting more than 200 domestic and overseas exhibitors from 10 countries and regions. Exhibitors include foreign giants such as Canon, Fuji, HP, Sony, Mitsubishi and Lucky. The exhibition will showcase equipment for image input, camera parts & accessories, photographic equipment and consumables, image storing, image editing, image processing, image output, digital imaging and related products, technologies and services. Exhibits cover cameras, camera lenses and filters, cameras zero/accessories, photographic equipment and accessories, imaging software and hardware, and storage media, film, studio/studio equipment, video input and output devices, photo printing software and hardware, cleaning, photo printing equipment and systems, photo albums and production equipment, optical products, materials and semi-finished products, all kinds of supplies and others. The exhibition will be open to the general public free of charge. It is expected that 60000 visitors from photography enthusiasts, the public sphere, the media field, creative fields, advertising, journalists, education sphere, representatives of domestic studios, photography studios, print shops, photography equipment suppliers, the city, to the chain of business systems such as agents, distributors, vendors, import and export traders, etc. will visit the exhibition.
The exhibition, which is scheduled to be held during the Expo 2010 Shanghai China (from May 1st to Oct 31st, 2010), is expected to benefit from the business opportunities brought about by the Expo 2010. A variety of concurrent events will be held during the exhibition. Canon in particular is making an appearance at this exhibition with double its 2009 floor space, showcasing the company's 2010 products during the World Expo, including its DSLR, camera lens, Powershot cameras, digital video recorders, photoprinters and other latest photo and digital imaging products.
