China CNR Corporation Limited (CNR), one of the country's biggest train makers, announced on Tuesday that it will roll a prototype of hybrid high-speed train off the production line in September 2015.
Changchun Railway Vehicle Co., Ltd (CRC) of CNR will integrate two or three power sources -- electricity, battery pack or diesel engine -- into the trains, according to CNR.

ZTE wants to join a small group of handset manufacturers which make their own chips. At the moment, this group includes the very largest vendors, like Apple, Samsung and Huawei, with LG looking to join them in the near future, as well.

A high-speed railway connecting Tianjin municipality and a port city in Hebei province started trial operations on Sunday.
The Tianjin-Qinhuangdao rail line has nine stops, five in Tianjin and four in Hebei province, the Beijing Railway Bureau said on Sunday.

China launched the Chang'e-3 lunar probe with the country's first moon rover aboard early on Monday, marking a significant step toward deep space exploration.
The probe's carrier, an enhanced Long March-3B rocket, blasted off from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China at 1:30 a.m.
