China launched a new domestically developed destroyer in Shanghai on Wednesday, marking a milestone in building a strong and modern naval force, according to the People's Liberation Army Navy.

The facility in Dalian, a coastal city in Northeast China's Liaoning province, can generate 140 trillion photons per laser pulse in one picosecond.

Chongqing-based Chang'an Automobile Co Ltd launched its maiden large sport utility vehicle, powered by its self-developed engine, at the Guangzhou Auto show 2016 show on Nov 18.
The new model's high performance Blue Core 2-liter turbo gasoline direct-injection engine outputs 380 Newton meters of torque at 2,000 revolutions per minute for hard acceleration, and 85 percent of its power at 1,500 rpm.
